Pisciottano among authors of Pa. Open Markets Act

State Rep. Nick Pisciottano (D-West Mifflin) recently announced a new bill that would assist local small businesses against larger corporations in an evolving marketplace. Pisciottano helped author the Pennsylvania Open Markets Act, which would prohibit companies from engaging in anti-competitive measures such as price fixing disguised as inflation. It would also allow the state attorney general to look into companies attempting to establish a monopoly, increase penalties for antitrust violations and require more transparency for certain business consolidation transactions.
