Tigers overcome slow start in win over Clairton

McKeesport outscored Clairton, 33-23, in the second half and held the Bears to only one field goal in the final 4:30 to escape with a 56-52 win to open the season and the Mon Valley Independent Shootout Classic. The Tigers (1-0) were able to overcome a seven-point deficit and 17 turnovers in the first half.
