Elizabeth Township is excited to spread some holiday cheer to the community when it holds its Light the Night Celebration on Friday.
The event will begin with a holiday parade at 5:30 p.m. before the celebration at the township municipal building.
The parade will begin at Butler’s Golf Course and conclude at the municipal garage.
There will be limited parking at Elizabeth Forward Middle School and additional parking at Butler’s.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance for children to take pictures with, and there will be basket raffles for adults and gift card raffles for kids.
There will also be hot chocolate, cookies, crafts and a performance by the East End Kids at 6:45 p.m.
“It’s a really nice event,” township Commissioner Chris Thoma said. “Kids get some snacks and pictures with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, and it’s a nice community event for kids and adults.
“For everyone involved to bring the community together, it’s great. Christmas is a time of joy, a time of giving, a time of bringing people together, and bringing all these people into one place to enjoy, it is really special.”
