Anthony ‘Ferp’ Necciai Jr. – Monongahela

Anthony “Ferp” Necciai Jr., 68, of Monongahela, passed away in Jefferson Hospital on Nov. 22, 2023. He was the son of the late Anthony “Nibbs” Sr. and Joyce Holsapple Necciai. A lifelong resident of Black Diamond, he was born on Oct. 4, 1955. After his graduation in 1973 from Ringgold School District’s Monongahela Campus, Ferp worked at the former Combustion Engineering until its closing. After the closing of the mill, he worked various jobs until he began working for CareerLink in Donora in May 2015, where he was still employed. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family. He was a member of VFW Post 1409 in Monongahela, where he could be found calling bingo on Saturday nights, and was a member of Journey by Grace Church in Rostraver Township. Ferp always looked forward to driving veterans in his convertible in the local parades. He is survived by his daughter, Jocelyn Necciai Coulter of New Eagle; two sisters, Donna (Dan) Yocolano of Monongahela and Andrea Mendicino of New Eagle; his longtime friend, Suzanne Ruschak of Monongahela; along with three nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith L. “Edie” Necciai, who died Dec. 17, 2022, and Sally A. Necciai, who died Dec. 12, 2020. Also preceding him in death were a son-in-law, Patrick R. Coulter, who died Sept. 4, 2015; and his best friend/brother, Dan “DT” Taddeo, with whom he is now reunited. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 2 to 6:30p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at which time a service will begin with the Rev.
