Evelyn Marie Pasternak – White Oak

Evelyn Marie Pasternak, 90, of White Oak, died on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023. She was born in Rankin on Feb. 8, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marie Butcher Begg. She was the wife of the late John Stephen Pasternak, who died on Nov. 26, 2019. Evelyn retired from Koppers Inc. after 35 years as the office manager. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Swissvale. Her favorite pastimes were reading, going on trips to various casinos, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, David Pasternak of White Oak; sisters, Mildred (the late Donald) Rendulic of Murrysville; Frances (the late Michael) Leschak of Baldwin; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Family and friends will gather from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES INC., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 1640 Fawcett Ave., White Oak, PA 15131. Burial will follow.
