Edward W. Weisdack Jr., 73, passed away peacefully at his Florida home Oct. 13, 2023, after a long battle of cardiac illness. A 1968 graduate of the Belle Vernon school district, he worked in cold reduction at U.S. Steel’s Irvin Works plant for 32 years. He shared 37 years of marriage with Kathleen Dorcon, who passed away in 2006. He lived life to the fullest, always lending a hand, he loved to entertain, vacation and ride in his corvette with the Gulf Side Corvette Club. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Petroske (Bryan); son, Brian Weisdack (Kristan); grandchildren, Jordan Petroske, Abigail and Preston Weisdack; sister, Norma Jean (Bob) Duvall; nieces, nephews, devoted family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and June; and his brother, Robert (Rabbit) in 2021. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, at ELEY/MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
