Albert M. ‘Cooky’ Foglia – Monessen

Albert M. “Cooky” Foglia, 93, of Monessen, passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, in Residence at Hill-top, with his loving family by his side. He was born on Oct. 26, 1930, in Charleroi, the son of the late Frank and Carmela Troiano Foglia. He was a member of Epiphany of our Lord Church, a graduate of Charleroi High School, Class of 1948, a former member of the Monessen Elks and their golf league and the Italian Society of Mutual Aid. Cooky was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was a season ticket holder with friends from way back in the Forbes Field days. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy, where he worked as an airplane engine mechanic and worked on the engines from the hurricane hunter planes. After leaving the Navy, he began working at Rems Electric in Monessen and later for Van Beck Electric Supply in Charleroi for 55-plus years. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis Perotti Foglia; son, Dave (Lisa) Foglia of North Huntingdon; daughter, Kelley (Robert) Reed of Monessen; granddaughter, Kendra Reed; grandson, Chase Foglia; sister-in-law, Carole Foglia of Monongahela; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Eugene and Norman Foglia; and two sisters, Helen Bosh and Eleanor Stanish. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, beginning at 9 a.m. with a blessing service at the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Epiphany of our Lord Church, with the Rev.
