Donald Kurilla – Carroll Township

Donald Kurilla, 86, of Carroll Township passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at Mon Valley Care Center. He was born in Charleroi, on Oct. 7, 1937, son of the late Steve and Ann Poyer Kurilla. Donald worked for Shamrock Chemicals in Charleroi where he was the vice president of sales. He also owned the Jem Lounge on Coyle Curtin Road. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church and a member of the Serra Club. Donald also served his country in the United States Army. Left to cherish his memory are his three children, John D. and Matthew D. Kurilla, both of Carroll Township; and daughter, Beth A. Wagner of Monessen. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Martinet Kurilla, whom he married in 1964; and a brother, Dennis Kurilla. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATIONS SERVICES INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish Charleroi. Online condolences can be made at www.melenyzer.com.
