Warriors ready for Antelopes

This year’s Elizabeth Forward football team has battled through plenty of adversity, and their efforts will culminate in a highly-anticipated Class 3A WPIAL semifinal matchup with Avonworth Friday at Gateway. First-year head coach John DeMarco gave his players and coordinators all the credit for the Warriors (10-1, 4-1) successfully installing a new offense and defense this season, and they’ve rode that momentum to a No. 3 seed in the district playoffs and a 42-21 victory over No. 6 West Mifflin.
