Joanne Mount Trainer, 84, of Elizabeth, Forward Township, passed away at her home on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, surrounded by family. Born on Feb. 19, 1939, in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine Humphrey Mount. She never passed on an opportunity to go shopping and to spend time with her family. Following her graduation in 1957, from Clairton High School and Duff’s Business Institute in Pittsburgh, Joanne joined the U.S. Army (WAC, Women’s Army Corps), where she was stationed throughout the country and Germany serving as an assistant to a general. She is survived by three sons, Chauncey Trainer of Elizabeth, Kenneth Trainer of Forward Township and Lawrence (Cheryl) Trainer of Jefferson Hills; six daughters, Tracey Dworek of Oklahoma, Christine (Bill) Rodabaugh of Forward Township, Lynn (Robert) Magiske of Monongahela, Lana Bliner of Rostraver Township, Edith (Danny) DeWitt of Perryopolis and Anne Tomachesky of Allison Park; 25 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Jen McCleary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Trainer, who died Dec. 16, 2007; two sons, William L. “Lumpy” Buckery, who died Oct. 26, 2019, and Carl “Spike” Buckery, who died April 19, 2017.
