Jean M. Minniti, 91, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Monessen went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Monessen on Jan. 26, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Pescotti De Matteo. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church and its choir, Donora Senior Center, Belle Vernon Center on the Hill, Monessen Volunteer Fireman’s No. 2 social club, and the 2006 “Showboat” show. She was a talented seamstress and worked for Sony. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Santo; a daughter, Jeanne Minniti; and a son, James “Bo” Minniti; a grandson, Joseph A. Minniti; great-grandson, Dominic Karol; and her sister, Angeline Weathers. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Minniti of Rayland, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Doug Seftas of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren, Jessica (Eddie) Karol of Belle Vernon, Sheena and (Jeff) Lander of Belle Vernon, Monique (Tommy)Sherred of Monongahela, Alexis  (Danny) Wadsworth of California, Pa., and Athena Seftas of Belle Vernon; great-grandchildren, Santo (Hailey) Haines of New Eagle, Jaxon Karol of Belle Vernon, Lukas Lander and Chase Lander, both of Belle Vernon, Ava Wadsworth, Carmella Wadsworth and Jayden Wadsworth of California, Tommy Sherred and Sofia Sherred, both of Monongahela; and a great-great-grandson, Jivani Haines. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen. A committal service will be held at 1 p.m. in Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Father Michael Crookston officiating. Entombment will follow the services.
