Donora looks to hire police without test

Donora council agreed Thursday to advertise to hire a part-time police officer without requiring a civil-service test after much debate about ordinances regarding the commission and its rules. A motion was made to “approve amendment to the rules and regulations regarding the hiring of part-time police officers” per the commission meeting held Oct. 31.
