By obits

Dorothy Lorraine Golash, 86, of Carroll Township, received her wings on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley after a lengthy illness. She was born in Canonsburg on Nov. 1, 1937, daughter of Peter and Mary Lamanski Golash. Lorraine was a fostered adult who lived with her foster family, Joseph and Donna Gazboda, for 50 years. The Gazbodas were her family, which included Rick, Renee, Raquel, Sean and Ricky II. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins and will be missed greatly by all of them. Lorraine is also survived by a sister, Marion E. Golash of Pittsburgh; and the only nephew that she had contact with, Steve Yilet of Washington. Per the wishes of Lorraine there will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC., 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Joe and Donna Golash would like to thank their brothers, sisters and their husbands for treating Lorraine as part of their family for the past 50 years. Online condolences may be expressed at www.pavlicfuneralhomes.com.
