Brice, Pavelko & Perrotta elected to Donora council

The makeup of Donora council is about to change significantly, as three newcomers were the top vote-getters in Tuesday’s election. According to unofficial results, the three open seats went to James Brice, who accumulated the most votes with 503, DeAnne Vayansky Pavelko, who came in second with 442, and Casey Perrotta, who finished third with 367. Gilbert Szakal Jr., the race’s lone incumbent, fell 18 votes short of another term on council as he recorded 349. Joshua Lamb rounded out the race with 316 votes, and 120 write-in votes were cast.
