Bearcats shut out Seneca to move on

After making school history by winning the program’s first WPIAL boys soccer title with a come-from-behind victory over section rival Charleroi Friday, Bentworth was looking to make more history in the state playoffs. In its first ever PIAA postseason contest, no comeback was needed. The high-powered Bentworth offense was up to the task from the get-go, as the Bearcats steamrolled to a 3-0 victory over Seneca Tuesday night at Peters Township’s Confluence Stadium in the first round of the Class 1A state playoffs.
