Mark Joseph Pietroboni, 65, of Monongahela, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023. He was born Sept. 29, 1958, in New Eagle, son of the late Dominick and Teresa Dorazio Pietroboni. After graduating from Ringgold High School in 1976, he served in the U.S. Navy for six years with honor and dedication. His commitment to duty was a testament to his character, leaving a lasting impact on his fellow service members. After his time in the Navy, Mark continued his education at the Pennsylvania State University, further demonstrating his dedication to self-improvement and lifelong learning. His time at the university undoubtedly enriched his understanding of the world. As a lifelong Catholic with a strong faith, he passionately taught Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, nurturing the spiritual growth of young minds and hearts. Mark was a devoted member of The Knights of Columbus, exemplifying his dedication to faith and community. He dedicated countless hours to the Cub Scouts, shaping the lives of young boys and imparting valuable life skills along the way. His influence will be cherished by generations of scouts and their families. Mark is survived by his beloved son, Michael Pietroboni; two sisters, Mary Donna Magdich and twin, Lari Anne Mcintosh; a brother, Gareth Pietroboni; a brother-in-law, Gerald Devers; and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carol Lynn Devers; and two brothers-in-law, Edwin Magdich and William McIntosh. Mark’s kindness, selflessness and unwavering dedication to his family, friends and community will be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide us in the years to come. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, in Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish, Monongahela. Everyone who plans to attend Mass is asked to please go directly to the church. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Knights of Columbus or the Wounded Warrior Project.
