Bearcats win first WPIAL soccer title

After losing to Charleroi twice earlier in the season, the Bentworth boys soccer team appeared to be on its way to a third defeat with a 2-0 halftime deficit in Friday night’s WPIAL Class 1A championship. But the Bearcats stormed back with three goals to win the match, 3-2, and senior Ryan Colbert etched his name in school history by scoring the golden goal to give Bentworth its first-ever WPIAL title.
