Linda S. Chilzer, 64, of Monongahela, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Dec.  22, 1958, in North Charleroi, the daughter of John W. and Barbara A. Maley Chilzer. Linda was a 1977 graduate of Mon Valley Catholic High School and later attended Duquesne University, where she was a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma. While in school, she worked at the New Diamond Market in Market Square. Linda was employed as a receptionist at Pinnacle Treatment in Pittsburgh. In her younger years, she enjoyed listening to hard rock ‘n’ roll music. She volunteered at the Southwestern Veterans Center in Pittsburgh, where she worked at the canteen. Linda was a very devoted member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. She enjoyed her card club and watching the Steelers and Penguins. She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Adams; three nieces, Shawna (Tony) Griese, Elana Chilzer and Autumn (Justin) Hultz; two nephews, Jeremiah (Camille) Chilzer and Bobby (Amanda) Adams; five great nieces, Alexis (Spencer) Allen, Jasmine Griese, Zoey Violet Chilzer and Julie and Emma Adams; sister-in-law, Terry Chilzer; best friend, George Watson; and three dear friends, Patsi Fantauzzi, Mary Ann Child and Angie Persichetti. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dave C., Richard D. and John J. Chilzer; brother-in-law, Robert Adams; and her dear friend, Amy D’Amico. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Monongahela. Committal service and inurnment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
