Brownsville parade to celebrate Jackie Conner Day

For decades, Jackie Conner has participated in nearly every Brownsville community event, often dressing as a clown to make other people happy. On Saturday, the community will come together to give Conner his happiest day ever. Jackie Conner Day, as the date has been declared by Brownsville Mayor Ross Swords, will feature a firefighters’ parade, community gathering and oldies dance, all to honor the 57-year-old man who has been critically ill for the past several months.
