Walter William Rock – Coal Center

Walter William Rock, 84, of Coal Center, Pa., died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023. He was born Thursday, April 27, 1939, in North Charleroi, Pa., a son of the late Walter and  Bertha (Lovis) Rock. Walter “Chip” enjoyed fishing, eating and making people laugh. He served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel’s Allenport plant. He was a member of California Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Walter was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Patricia (Campbell) Rock; two sisters, Linda and Barbara Rock; three brothers, Paul, John and Robert Rock; eight sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services are private, at the convenience of his family and have been entrusted to MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME, INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth St., California, Pa. Walter will be buried in Howe Cemetery.
