Mary Louise ‘Weege’ Patton – Formerly of Carroll Township

By Mon Valley Independent

Mary Louise “Weege” Patton formerly of Carroll Township, entered eternal rest on Oct. 26, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with dementia. Mary Louise was born Aug. 29, 1940, to Vera Dexter and Norman Hoover. She graduated from Charleroi High School. Following high school, Mary Louise worked at Quality Meat Market, Easton’s Pharmacy and other Mon Valley establishments. Mary Louise gave birth to Laurie Lee Pigeon and Paul Norman Young, but was a loving mother to Norm Pigeon, Danalynne Young and her precious fur baby, Kalie Patton. Mary Louise was blessed with three grandchildren, Christopher Hall (Robyn), John Hall (Thelma Mayle) and Amberlene Antes; and seven great-grandchildren. Mary Louise enjoyed bingo, going to the casinos, playing in a bi-weekly card club with her most favorite friends, and watching “Chicago P.D.” Loved ones who were waiting for her heavenly arrival were her parents; her husband of 25 years, James Patton; her brothers, Willard and John Underwood; her nephew, J.R. Underwood; her sisters-in-law, Becky and Gaynelle Underwood; and many friends. Left to cherish her memory are nephew, Curt Underwood; best friend, Kay and Duane Nelson; and many other friends. A private family service was held to honor Mary Louise’s life. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
