Agnes ‘Ann’ Demeter – Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Charleroi

Agnes “Ann” Demeter, 92, of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Charleroi, passed away on Oct. 24, 2023. She was born on July 31, 1931, in Charleroi, a daughter of Joseph Charles and Agnes Mary Macuga Mudrak. Ann graduated from Charleroi High School, Class of 1949. Ann met and married the love of her life, Joseph John Demeter, on July 4, 1950. She was a loving mom and wonderful homemaker, and as her children got older, she loved her work as a park greeter at Walt Disney World in Buena Vista, Fla. She was a devoted member of the Third Order of Saint Francis in Belle Vernon and Saint Jerome Catholic Church in Charleroi. She had a passion for singing in the church choir and baking goodies for her family and friends. Ann is survived by her three children, Patti Jo Catullo of Melbourne, Fla., Joseph Charles Demeter (Rebecca Grimes) of Port Neches, Texas, and Cynthia Ann Demeter of Kissimmee, Fla.; six grandchildren, Angela Chuckro Willis (Eric Walter), Christopher Demeter, Ethan Demeter (Anita Lee), Maria Lisa Catullo, Therese Ann Catullo (Matthew Dyke) and Gregory Michael Catullo; eight great-grandchildren, Anthony Chuckro Willis, Scarlett Isabella Rodriguez, Maximus Charles Whited, Evangeline Rose Willis, Aiden Lee Demeter, Alexandria Lee Demeter, Liam Joseph Dyke and Madelyn Ann Dyke; and a sister, Helena O’Brien. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Demeter; sister, Mary Theresa Demeter; and former son-in-law, Albert Catullo. Family and friends are invited to attend a blessing service that will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, in the chapel of Sacred Heart Cemetery, 97 Sacred Heart Road, Monongahela, PA 15063.
