The Bentworth boys soccer team will make its first appearance in the WPIAL championship game Friday night. Ryan Moessner is a big reason why. The sophomore scored a pair of goals, including the game-winning tally in overtime, to help give the seventh-seeded Bearcats a 2-1 victory over third-seeded Burrell in the WPIAL Class 1A semifinals Monday night at Peters Township. Bentworth (17-2) will meet No. 1 Charleroi in Friday’s 8 p.m. championship. The Cougars swept the regular-season series with the Bearcats.
