Leaders optimistic at economic symposium

While it’s not always the case in politics, leaders from Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette and Greene counties agree the future is bright and possibilities are endless for the economic future of the Mid Mon Valley. On Thursday, business professionals, elected officials and community leaders gathered at the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Carroll Township to talk about strategy, struggles about what’s working in their communities. They also addressed what they hope to improve as they look to the future of the region as a whole for an economic symposium focused on the future.
