Gail Brown Hixenbaugh, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Oct. 19, 2023, at The Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela. Gail was born in Monongahela, on Feb 1, 1938, daughter of the late Charles and Julia Brown. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Lee Roy Hixenbaugh; a brother, Chuck Brown; and a sister, Delores (Brown) Krystek. She is survived by cousins, Dave (and Kate) Papak of Monongahela, and Marcia (Papak) Brown of Baldwin; and several nieces and nephews. She graduated from Monongahela High School in 1958. Gail and her late husband, Lee, were active members at St. Valentine Church and St. Thomas More Church and very involved with several support and teaching ministries at both parishes. Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, at St. Andrew The Apostle Parish, Monongahela. Burial will follow at Monongahela Cemetery.
