Eugene Andrew Ritenour – Peachtree City, Ga.

Eugene Andrew Ritenour, 90, of Peachtree City, Ga., died Monday, Oct. 16, 2023. Born in Star Junction on Dec. 16, 1932, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Adams Ritenour. Eugene was an aircraft mechanic for USAir (Allegheny Airlines). He also worked at Cedarbrook Golf Course. He loved talking with people and enjoyed listening to polka music. He was a member of Hope Memorial Lutheran Church in Smithton, Pa., Tri-County Lodge No. 252 F&AM Donora, Scottish Rite Valley of Uniontown/Pittsburgh, Syria Shrine and Tall Cedars. He is survived by his son, Scott (Dana) Ritenour of Peachtree City, Ga.; daughter, Erin (Matt) Scrip of McMurray, Pa.; grandchildren, Andrew and Ryan Ritenour, and Abby, Mia and Mason Scrip. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Marie Oberlietner Ritenour; brothers, Donald, James, William and Thomas; and sisters, Ethel and Omie. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Frank Zeman officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The Tri-County Lodge No. 252 F&AM will conduct a Masonic funeral service for Brother Ritenour at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
