Mary, Mother of God Parish to host International Food Festival

With several tantalizing booths to choose from there will be something for everyone to sink their teeth into at the first-ever International Food Festival at Mary, Mother of God Parish.
The International Food Festival will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Angela Gym, 2701 Kelly St., White Oak.
The festival, which is open to the public, will include booths featuring American Colombian, Dominican, Filipino, German, Greek, Italian, Latin American and Slavic/Polish cuisine.
Some of the menu items include burgers and fries at the American booth, bier brats and spaetzle at the German booth, handmade manicotti and pizza at the Italian booth, Colombian empanadas, lamb gyros at the Greek booth, pierogies and haluski at the Slavic/Polish booth and Filipino pancit and lumpianitos.
There will also be a variety of homemade desserts including nut rolls, thumbprints, lady locks and more.
