Bonnie Lee Turkovich – Rostraver Township

Bonnie Lee Turkovich, 74, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Born in Charleroi on Dec. 16, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and Jean Elizabeth Wilding Budd. At the age of 17, Bonnie began her 56-year working career as a secretary for Fox Grocery. She later became a produce and a floral buyer for Wetterau Foods. Then she worked for US Foods in Greensburg and retired from US Foods as their marketing specialist. She loved her job and was a very dedicated employee. Many of her co-workers said that she was always the first one to arrive at work and the last one to leave! Bonnie was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver. She loved to travel but loved spending time with her family the most. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and was the most loving “Mimi” with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Turkovich; daughter, Samantha Ray (Scott) Cochenour of Rostraver; grandchildren, Ellie Cochenour and Maxwell Cochenour; brother, Raymond T. (Bernice) Budd of Pittsburgh; her lifelong friend, Nancy Johnson of Donora; and her dear neighbors who were very close to her, the Tollan family and the Wells family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George Budd and Timothy Budd. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  Sunday at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at the Church of St. Anne, 1870 Rostraver Road, Rostraver Township, with the Rev. David J. Nazimek and the Rev. Roselo Melloria concelebrating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
