Bernard ‘Butch’ Zuccarini – Monongahela

Bernard “Butch” Zuccarini, 93, of Monongahela, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at Premiere Washington Health Center in Washington.  He was born in Donora to the late Camillo and Elizabeth Patch Zuccarini on Aug. 29, 1930. A 1950 graduate of the former Monongahela High School, Bernie began working in the metallurgical department at the former Donora Mill until its closing in 1961, and then the J&L Steel Mill until 1974, eventually retiring as a custodian from Ringgold’s Carroll Middle School. A member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family and is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Bernard “Butch” was also loved and respected by many friends and anyone who ever met him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Turri Zuccarini, who died Oct. 21, 2008; a brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Genevieve Zuccarini; and a sister, Dorothy Zuccarini.
