Elizabeth A. “Becky” Munger, 94, of Smock, formerly of New Eagle, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023, in her home. She was born Sept. 2, 1929, in Monongahela, daughter of Joseph and Ruth Irene Griffith Scagline. Becky was a longtime member of River Hill Church of Christ. She loved her church family and helping people in need, especially children. Becky, her husband, Charles, and their children moved to Illinois in 1961. She was a homemaker until all of the children were on their own. She was then employed at Frank’s Nursery and Crafts as the manager of the craft department. When her and her husband retired, they moved back to Monongahela and bought back the family house on River Hill. Becky was an avid sports fan and loved the Steelers and Pirates. She is survived by two daughters, Ruthann House and husband Ron, and Judy Fulara and husband Rick; son, Charles Munger III; seven grandchildren, Jeff Fulara and wife Angela, Jennifer House, Jake House and wife Makaila, Sarah Hale and Joseph, Gabriel and Drake Munger; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Paige Fulara, Mari House and Damian and Raeven Hale; and brother, Donald Scagline and wife Jane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bus” Munger Jr.; son, Joe Munger; two brothers, John and Joseph Scagline Jr.; and two sisters, Mary White and Sarah Brizzi. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, with the Rev. Paul Eisaman officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
