Warriors improve to 8-0 with rout of S. Allegheny

Elizabeth Forward remained one of the few unbeaten teams in the WPIAL/City League and clinched a playoff berth in Class 3A with a 49-14 victory over South Allegheny in Interstate Conference play Friday night. Ryan Messina threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, while Charlie Nigut continued his recent success with a two-touchdown performance as the Warriors (8-0, 3-0) rolled to a large halftime lead and a convincing win over the injury-plagued Gladiators (1-7, 0-3).
