PennWest University enrollment down 11.5%

First-year enrollment is up for a second straight year across Pennsylvania’s state-owned universities, and leaders credit five successive years of freezing tuition and better targeting of academic programs. Data released Monday by the State System of Higher Education showed that overall, headcount continued to slide — down by 2.2%, to 82,688 students.
