Rose M. Crupie — White Oak

Rose M. Crupie, 90, of White Oak, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023. She was born Sept. 14, 1933, in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Vincenza Liberatore Amendola. She was the wife of the late Nicholas J. Crupie, who passed away Aug. 22, 2009. Rose was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish – St. Patrick Church, Christy Park. She worked for the former Sears Roebuck and Co. in McKeesport, and later she and her husband Nick were proprietors of Nick’s Confectionary Store on Locust Street in McKeesport until their retirement. She was a 1951 graduate of McKeesport High School. She is survived by nephews, Mark (Barbara) Amendola and Karl (Renee) Amendola; and a cousin, Rosalyn Ruzanic.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence (Gloria) Amendola and Anthony (Mildred) Amendola and a nephew, David Amendola. Friends are welcome from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023 at Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, 412-672-6322, Troy J. Gilbert, director. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at Mary, Mother of God Parish-St. Patrick Church. The Rev. Vincent P. Velas will officiate. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
