Joseph John Wiehl Jr. — North Charleroi

Joseph John Wiehl Jr., 83, of North Charleroi, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 5, 2023. Joseph was born in North Charleroi Sept. 21, 1940, to the late Joseph Sr. and Betty (Miksch) Wiehl. Joe was the Toast To Our Stars treasurer and a life member of the North Charleroi Slavic Club. He was the former swim coach and swimming official, golf coach and biology teacher at Charleroi Area School District. Surviving to cherish Joe’s memory are his beloved wife, Claudia (Visniski) Wiehl, his daughter, Kimberly Jo Wiehl, and his best friend, Snickers. In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by son Joseph “Joey” John Wiehl III and his first wife, Margaret Mason Wiehl. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME &CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022.
