James C. Spate – Parker, Colo.

James C. Spate, 82, of Parker, Colo., died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, in the Sky Ridge Hospital, Lone Tree, Colorado. He was born Dec. 10, 1940, in Pangburn Hollow, son of George A. and Hazel E. Hofmeister Spate. He is survived by his wife, Mary V. “Ginger” Agostoni Spate; daughter, Terry L. (Fred) Werber of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; two grandsons, Zachary A-B Werber and Jake C. Werber; sister, Nancy C. Lusk of Shelby, Ohio; three brothers, William G. Spate, and Gary L. (Gail) Spate, all of Crystal River, Fla., and Joseph A. (Kris) Spate of Indiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Spate. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, in Edwards Chapel United Methodist Church, 3111 state Route 136, Finleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Lusk officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery. The family is planning on having a celebration of life in Colorado at a later date.
