The Jaggerz to perform Saturday at the Stockdale VFD Fire Hall

Long-time Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department firefighter Al Marcy has never planned an event that did not have everyone on the dance floor.
He hopes his streak, more than 25 years strong, continues this weekend when the Stockdale Fire Department hosts The Jaggerz for an oldies concert.
Several months ago, Marcy brought live music back to the fire department’s social hall for the first time in nearly two decades with a debut performance by the new Pure Gold rocking the house.
Pure Gold, a well-known oldies band, retired in 2022 but a new group bearing the same name took over to keep the oldies alive in the area.
Marcy said their concert was a hit, and with a passion for live entertainment, he has planned another live concert featuring The Jaggerz this Saturday.
Tickets are $25 and include beer provided by the fire department.
Other alcohol beverages, refreshments, food and snacks can be brought in by guests to enjoy.
“We call it a BYOE,” said Marcy, the fire department’s dance committee chairman. “Bring your own everything, and people seem to like that. It has worked out well. Before, it seemed like if we made our own food, people wanted something else, so this allows them to enjoy what they like.”
Guests can make their own food to bring, have a pizza delivered or set a grill up if they want.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 724-350-5192 or at the door.
