Mildred E. “Millie” “Popcorn” Pappas, 59, of North Charleroi passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023. Born on Sept. 29, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Barbara Gereshenski. She was a waitress, cook and bartender at several locations in the Valley and was a member of the Charleroi Belgian Club. She was an animal lover and she enjoyed raising rabbits. She also loved to cook, bake, read, watch movies and solve puzzles. Millie is survived by her husband, Nick Pappas; sons, Raymond (Missy) Pappas of Dunlevy, and Nick (Veronica) Pappas of North Charleroi; granddaughter, Autumn Pappas; sisters, Vera (Jay) Sheppard of Monessen and Michele (Dennis) Price of West Virginia; nephew, Jacob Price; aunt, Kathy Martin of Roscoe; cousin, Chad Martin of Belle Vernon; and step-grandchildren, Cynthia, Thomas and Michael Morrison. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Judith Ann Kerestan; and uncle, Eldred Martin. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Services will begin at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, celebrated by Pastor Dennis Stitch of the First Christian Church of Charleroi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330. Online condolences may be sent to www.spallinofuneralhome.com.
