Robert J. Baciak Sr., 76, of Charleroi, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023. Born on Feb. 13, 1947, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy Baciak. He was Catholic by faith and was retired from World Kitchen after 42 years of service. He also worked security at several places, including Giant Eagle and Mon Valley Hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam as a motor pool driver. He was a member of the Mon Valley Leathernecks and the Charleroi American Legion and was a former member of the Charleroi Fire Department. Robert is survived by his wife, Sherry Baciak; sons, Robert J. Baciak Jr. and wife Joanne of Charleroi and John Baciak and wife Nicole of Dunlevy; daughters, Christine Baciak of Alabama and Beverly Baciak of New Cumberland, Pa.; sisters, Kathy Quigley of Charleroi and Loretta Harper of Monessen; sisters-in-law, Susan Gordon of Pittsburgh and Sally Gordon of Alabama; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Daniel Baciak; and brother and sister-in-law, John and Sharon Baciak. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, Sept. 26 at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Blessing services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by interment at Charleroi Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.spallinofuneralhome.com.
