Monessen mayor concerned about street damage

Peoples Natural Gas laid new pipes along Schoonmaker Avenue, which left behind gravel-filled trenches, and has now submitted paperwork to PennDOT to complete the paving work. Mayor Ron Mozer said the city has had several meetings with Peoples. In the most recent meeting, a representative from the office of state Sen. Kim Ward, R-Hempfield, and a PennDOT official also attended.
