The Charleroi girls soccer team suffered their first loss of the season Wednesday, dropping a 2-1 decision at home to visiting Waynesburg Central.
The Cougars (5-1, 3-1) led 1-0 at the half behind a McKenna DeUnger goal with two minutes remaining in the first half.
The Raiders (5-2, 3-2) rallied for a pair of goals in the second half, the tying goal by Lake Litwinovich nine minutes in.
With the game all knotted up, it was the Raiders’ Ella Miller netting the game-winning tally with a goal with 16 minutes to play in regulation.
The Cougars were unable to get the equalizer in the closing minutes of the game.
Charleroi is back on the pitch Saturday at home against Yough in non-section play at 10 a.m.
