WEC Engineers have let Monessen officials know that Third Street will be open the remainder of the week.
Officials expected to close the road for six weeks starting Sept. 5, but had to quickly change plans last week when a piece of equipment had problems.
Third Street reopened last Wednesday and closed again Monday for work to resume.
This week, work did resume on Monday but once again came to a halt on Wednesday.
Bob Nedzesky, chief engineer at WEC Consulting Engineers, said Wednesday that Third Street will be open to all traffic until around 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Last week, Nedzesky said there was an issue with the Municipal & Contractor Sealing Products video van, which scopes out the sewer lines that are being rehabilitated citywide.
Nedzesky didn’t specify the issue this week.
