Donald E. ‘Trump’ Gust

Donald E. “Trump” Gust, 79, formerly of Monongahela, laid down his working tools Sept. 11, 2023. Born Feb. 11, 1944, Don was the son of the late Donald and Elizabeth Burnworth Gust. Don was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He was a Grand Mason and retired truck driver, AKA “Turtle” on the CB trucker’s handle and a business owner of Gust Water Delivery. He was a proud and active Legionnaire holding various positions. Also, a member of the Grand Masons, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Allenport Rod and Gun Club, Slovak Club, Loyal Order of Moose, Elks and others throughout the Mon Valley. Don loved to socialize at the clubs, driving, the Pittsburgh Steelers, fishing, football trips, golfing, wine making, contests, trucking, classic cars, playing the guitar and his beloved Rosie. The ladies always remember his signature greeting, “Has anyone told you you’re beautiful today?” as he smiled brightly at you. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Lisa, Shelly and Margaret; sons John and Stanley; granddaughters Chanda (Korey) and Kara (Dan); great-grandson, Roman. In addition to his parents and fiance Roseann, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Olkonen Jr. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC. 1008 Furlong Ave. Roscoe, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, in the funeral home with interment to follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park with military honors.
