Patrick J. O’Hern – New Eagle

Patrick J. O’Hern, 52, of New Eagle, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, at Presbyterian Senior Care (Southmont) in Washington. Born March 26, 1971, in New Eagle, he is the son of Jeanne (Smarilli) Mellinger of New Eagle. Pat was a graduate of Ringgold High School and for years worked as an over-the-road truck driver for several companies around the area. He enjoyed barbecuing and grilling out. In addition to his mother, Pat is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Toni (Robert) Boothe of Fredericktown; their children, Ella and Ford Boothe; and several cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin A. O’Hern, who passed away Dec. 15, 1994, and his stepfather, Dennis J. Mellinger, who passed away Oct. 29, 2008. At the family’s request, visitation and burial in Monongahela Cemetery was private. MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, was in charge of his arrangements.
