Flag ceremony remembers 9/11, Glenn Porter

The Madonna Catholic Regional School community came together Monday for a prayer service to honor their grandparents, commemorate Patriot Day and pay a special tribute to parish member Glenn Porter of Fallowfield Township, who died June 24 in an automobile accident. In his honor, the school dedicated a new flag — a symbol of unity, strength and the values that Glenn held dear. The Rev. Tom Kadlick of St. Andrew the Apostle Church blessed the flag, which was hung outside the school by the students and raised to half-mast in honor of 9/11.
