Caroline J. Kernisky – Monessen

Caroline J. Kernisky, 72, of Monessen, passed away on Sept. 10, 2023, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born in Smock on Nov. 28, 1950, a daughter of the late Attilo Ermino “Herman” and Lola Crim Ruffo. She was Christian by faith. Surviving are her husband, James Kernisky; daughters, Kelli and husband Buck McGrew of New Eagle, and Lola Leigh Smith and companion John Jacob of Lexington, S.C.; four grandchildren, James and wife Terra Shuma, Jacob Ludwick, Morgan Ludwick and Dylan Jacob; her sisters, Penny, Toni and Phyllis; beloved dogs, Sly and Zoey; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Ruffo. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023.
