John R. ‘Jack’ Oblack – Belle Vernon

John R. “Jack” Oblack, 78, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, in Mon Valley Care Center, with his loving family by his side. He was born on Nov. 6, 1944, in Greensburg, the son of the late John Joseph and Lucetta Frances Richards Oblack. Jack served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was also a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 354, Monessen Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2399 and Allenport Rod and Gun Club. He was also a regular of Russ’ Tavern and an avid Steelers fan. He is survived by his wife, Carole Oblack; son, John E. (Kim) Oblack; daughter, Ondrea Oblack; brother, James (Judy) Oblack; two sisters, Janet (Smitty) Swank, Kris (Tim) Cook; sister-in-law, Donna Bucci, and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Aaron M. Oblack. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating.
