Edwin K. Swarmer, 67, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 30, 1955, he was the son of the late Edwin G. and Mildred Stubert Swarmer. Edwin was a retired project estimator working for Lone Pine Construction. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cheryl Laird Swarmer; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jennifer and Tom Pfeifer of Zelienople, Ericka and Shane Rotolo of Smithton, and Jordan Swarmer of Belle Vernon; five grandchildren, Bryce and Brock James Rotolo, Colton Winslow and Kaleigh and Jaxon Pfeifer; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gregory and Paula Swarmer of Beaver Falls, and Jeffery Swarmer of Ohio; his mother-in-law, Margaret Pigeon of Monessen; and his beloved cat, Izzy. Edwin enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He loved hanging out with his friends at Tom and Vic’s and the Pittstop. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Walter Pigeon. Friends will be received from noon to 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, at ROBERT A BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen. Funeral services will be held at 2:45 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Frank Zeman officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
