Carmen A. Beneccio, 74, of Monessen, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023. He was born May 18, 1949, son of the late Arnold and Edith Salvino Beneccio. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Carmen was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen, NRA and Rostraver Gun Club. An avid hunter and Civil War enthusiast, he was known for his wit and humor. Like his dad, he was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Shirley Stanchik Beneccio; three sons, Vito Beneccio, Marcello Beneccio and Sereno Beneccio and wife Danica; two grandchildren, Fiona and Sergio; and numerous cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at J. WILLIAM MCCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME, Barry R. Beneccio, Jr., supervisor, 901 Vine St., West Newton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen. Everyone is to meet at church.
