For the first time in three seasons, the Charleroi girls soccer team knocked off Chartiers-Houston in an early, yet important, Section 2-1A contest Wednesday.
After a slow start, Taylor Ramsdell scored twice in a span of 27 seconds to help spark the Cougars to a 2-0 win over the defending section champion Bucs, handing them their first loss of the season.
“This is a really big win for us. This is the first time we’ve beaten them since I’ve been the coach here. It feels good because this was an important win with the way our schedule is stacked up,” Cougars head coach Tom Cameron said.
