Area school districts get grant money for fruits & vegetables

With students returning to class, schools in four local districts will receive funding to make fresh fruits and vegetables available for free. Clairton, McKeesport Area, Monessen and South Allegheny are among the districts that were awarded part of the nearly $900,000 distributed through the federal government’s Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP).
